Climate Vulnerability Assessment and Net Zero Pathway Report
Louisiana Children’s Museum

A climate vulnerability assessment (CVA) was conducted between September 2024 and April 2025 to identify the current impacts of climate change on the Louisiana Children’s Museum (LCM) and its potential ongoing effects. LCM undertook a process to create a pathway to net-zero greenhouse gas emissions and a CVA. The CVA identified critical vulnerabilities by analyzing the projected effects of climate change on the Louisiana community and assessing LCM’s capacity to adapt, considering existing social and organizational factors.

Greenhouse Gas Inventory & Net Zero Pathway Report
Chicago Children’s Museum

Starting in 2024, Chicago Children’s Museum (CCM) engaged with Verdis Group to assess baseline greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and develop a goal to reduce emissions by 90% through Verdis’ Net Zero Pathway (NZP) process. This process involved members from multiple departments and built a strong foundation for CCM to manage emissions over time, take climate action, and eventually reduce total emissions to net zero. For more information on the GHG inventory and NZP process, see Chicago Children’s Museum’s 2023 Greenhouse Gas Inventory & Net Zero Pathway Report.

Climate Action Plan
Museum of Discovery + Science

As part of the Caretakers of Wonder Cohort (CoW), the Museum of Science and Discovery (MODS) has committed to “raising happy, healthy young children in a warming world.” To contribute to this goal, MODS took a forward-thinking and strategic approach aimed at building a more resilient institution. This initiative underscores the Museum’s role not only as an educational hub but also as a vital community leader.

2024 Greenhouse Gas Inventory & Emissions Reduction Roadmap Report
Association of Children’s Museums

The Association of Children’s Museums (ACM) collaborated with Verdis Group to assess baseline greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and develop an emissions reduction roadmap. The planning processes leveraged the institutional knowledge of ACM staff and leadership, supported by Verdis Group’s subject matter expertise, to establish a pathway for ACM to reduce emissions over time, take climate action, and achieve carbon neutrality for both our operations as well as our annual conference.

2023 Greenhouse Gas Inventory Report
The Children’s Museum of Southern Oregon

This report outlines the results of The Children’s Museum of Southern Oregon greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory encompassing emissions associated with Scope 1, Scope 2, and material Scope 3 categories. Scope 1 emissions refer to direct emissions from owned or controlled sources, such as mobile fleet and gas-heating systems, Scope 2 emissions are indirect emissions from energy that is purchased and used on-site, and Scope 3 emissions are indirect emissions from non-owned sources that are not within The Children’s Museum of Southern Oregon's direct operational control. The Children’s Museum of Southern Oregon measured Scope 3 emissions from their purchased goods and services, referred to in this report as procurement.

Greenhouse Gas Inventory Report
The Wild Center

This report outlines the results of The Wild Center’s (TWC) greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory encompassing emissions associated with Scope 1, Scope 2, and select Scope 3 categories. Scope 1 emissions refer to direct emissions from owned or controlled sources, such as mobile fleet and gas-heating systems. Scope 2 emissions are indirect emissions from energy that is purchased and used on-site. Scope 3 emissions are indirect emissions from non-owned sources that are not within TWC's direct operational control.

2024 Greenhouse Gas Inventory & Emissions Reduction Roadmap Report
Madison Children Museum

This plan will guide Madison Children’s Museum in its efforts to mitigate the effects of climate change and adapt to the already existing impacts of climate change. Strategies within this plan strive to build resilience within the city of Madison and the many communities the museum serves.
